Yahoo email forwarding
Yahoo email forwarding
To set up forwarding of incoming messages from your Yahoo Mail account to messengers and other tools via Notify.Events, you need to have a subscription to Yahoo Access + Forwarding. Free Yahoo Mail accounts do not include the email auto forwarding feature.
Here are the steps you need to follow to set it all up:
- Add the E-Mail source to a channel. See how to create a channel in the Help article How to get your first notification?.
- Set up email forwarding in the Yahoo email client.
- Connect the receiving service.
Step 1. Connect the E-Mail source in Notify.Events
- On the Channel screen, click Add source in the Sources section.
- On the screen that opens, go to the Other tab and click on the E-Mail card.
- Set the desired sending settings and click Save.
- The system will automatically generate a forwarding address for you. Copy it, you will need it in the next step.
After that, E-Mail will appear on the channel screen in the Sources section. To view the dedicated address again, click on the title or on the view icon.
Step 2: Set up email forwarding in the Yahoo client
Note that automatic forwarding of emails is currently not available in Free Yahoo Mail accounts. To use the email forwarding feature, you need to Upgrade to or subscribe to Access + Forwarding.
- Log in to the Yahoo Mail client, click Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes.
- Click the primary mailbox account and under Forwarding, enter the address received in Notify.Event to the Forwarding Address field.
- Click Verify.
- The system will send a confirmation message to the specified address. You'll find it in the Notify.Events control panel: channel screen > Messages (at the bottom of the screen). Follow the instructions sent there.
Step 3: Connect the recipient service in Notify.Events
To start getting instant notifications of new Yahoo emails, complete the setup process by enabling recipient services. See how to connect a recipient in the Help article How to get your first notification?.
